How to apply and what to expect from our finance team
Does Kaylor's Marine offer boat financing?
Yes. Kaylor's Marine works with lending partners to offer financing options for qualified buyers on both new and used boats. Our knowledgeable finance staff is here to make the process of purchasing a boat easy.
How do I apply for financing?
You can complete our secure online credit application at any time. Simply click Apply for Financing, fill out the form, and submit it. The same application is available from the Financing link in our main menu.
What happens after I submit my application?
Once your application is received, a member of our staff will contact you to go over the financing options available to you and provide a quote. If you have questions in the meantime, call or text us at (859) 986-0146.
Can I apply for financing on a specific boat?
Yes. Every boat listing on our website includes a Get Financing button. Applying from the listing you are interested in lets our team know exactly which boat you would like to finance.
What rates and terms are available?
Rates, terms, and down payment requirements are set by our lending partners and depend on your application and the boat you choose. The fastest way to see what you qualify for is to apply online. Our staff will then walk you through your options.
Can I use my trade-in with financing?
Yes. We can apply the value of your current boat toward the purchase of a new or used boat, which can reduce the amount you need to finance. Start by submitting your boat on our Value Your Trade-In page.

What new boat brands do you sell?
We are a dealer for three trusted new boat brands:
- Bayliner deck boats, bowriders, and center consoles
- Smoker Craft fishing boats
- Sylvan pontoons and tritoons

Do you sell pre-owned boats?
Yes. Our pre-owned inventory changes often and has included brands such as Bayliner, Manitou, Moomba, Sun Tracker, and Tahoe, ranging from pontoons to wakesurf boats. Browse what is available today on our Pre-Owned Boats page.
How much do your boats cost?
Pricing depends on the brand, model, and options. Our current inventory includes pre-owned boats starting under $15,000 and new fishing boats starting under $25,000, up through fully loaded pontoons and tritoons. Many listings also show the MSRP so you can see your savings, and we regularly feature Clearance and Just Reduced units.
Do your boats come with a trailer?
It depends on the boat. Many of our listings include a trailer, and others offer one as an add-on. Check the description on each listing for details, or contact us and we will confirm what is included.
What does Coming Soon mean on a listing?
Coming Soon models are new boats that are on order and not yet on our lot. You can still view the specifications and planned options, and you are welcome to contact us to ask about pricing or to reserve one.
How do I schedule a time to see a boat?
Call or text us at (859) 986-0146, or use the Contact Us button on any listing. We will set up a time for you to see the boat in person at our Richmond location.
Do you offer a military discount?
We represent manufacturers that offer military discounts. Bayliner currently offers a military discount. Contact our sales team at (859) 986-0146 for details.
Do you sell to buyers outside of Kentucky?
Yes. We proudly serve boaters across Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, and customers have traveled from as far as Alabama to buy from us. Reach out and we will help you plan your purchase.
Trade-Ins
Put the value of your current boat toward your next one
Do you accept trade-ins?
Yes. Kaylor's Marine accepts trade-ins and will apply the value of your current boat toward a new or used purchase.
How is my trade-in valued?
Our experienced staff evaluates each trade-in based on its condition, current market demand, and overall performance to give you a competitive and accurate valuation.
What information do I need to submit a trade-in?
Our Value Your Trade-In form asks for your contact information, the make, model, and year of your trade-in, and the boat you are interested in. You can also attach photos, which help us provide a more accurate value.
Service and Parts
Factory-trained care for your boat and engine
What engines do you service?
Our technicians are factory trained by Mercury and fully trained to service MerCruiser engines. We are also a Platinum Certified Evinrude service center. We work on Evinrude E-TEC and G2, Mercury FourStroke and OptiMax, and two-stroke carbureted engines, which we have serviced since 1973.
What kind of service work do you perform?
We handle everything from routine maintenance to full diagnostics, including:
- Tune ups and oil changes
- Winterizations
- Water pump impeller replacement
- Carburetor cleaning
- Aerator and bilge pump replacement
- Gimbal bearing and bellows replacement
How do I request service?
Submit our Boat Service request form with your boat's year, make, and model and a description of the work you need. You can attach photos as well. You are also welcome to call us at (859) 986-0146.
Can you help me find parts for my boat?
Yes. Our Parts Department sources OEM marine parts and accessories through a wide network of trusted suppliers. Use our Parts Request form and include your part number or your boat's year, make, model, and VIN if you have them. A team member will review your request and contact you promptly.

Where are you located?
We are located at 3685 Berea Road, Richmond, KY 40475, a short drive south of Lexington. We serve Madison County and Central Kentucky, including Richmond, Berea, Lexington, Winchester, Georgetown, Danville, Somerset, and Nicholasville.
What are your hours?
Fall and Winter: Tuesday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 12 PM, closed Sunday and Monday.
Spring and Summer: Tuesday through Friday 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 2 PM, closed Sunday and Monday.
How long has Kaylor's Marine been in business?
Kaylor's Marine has been family owned and operated since 1973. Founded by John and Dorsie Kaylor, the business grew under their son Don, who moved it to its current location in 1999. Today it is led by third-generation owner Jennifer Kaylor Osborn alongside co-owner Scott Osborn.
